IT MANAGER
Experienced IT Manager required to manage and support the internal network.

Personal Profile
You have no fear when it comes to configuring systems and managing people. You can combine experience with NT networks with a solid knowledge of SMB and NFS under Unix.
You understand the purpose of Configuration Management and standards and can apply both. You know what it takes to get the best out of people and are able to motivate and get the job done.

Description
The role will place you at the forefront of internal services, where you will inter-operate with a wide range of Technical and Administrative people. The position is mission critical to the company since IT is our game in a fun and rapidly expanding environment. The challenges will be many and varied from rollout of sales laptops to defining and controlling intranet services.

Responsibilities

• Design, configuration and maintenance of all office and remote systems
• Configuration and control of the telephony systems, both terrestrial and wireless
• Control of the intranet/extranet
• IT Budget
• IT Security policy
• Managing a support and maintenance team.
  
  

Required Personal Skills

• Demonstrable infrastructure design experience
• Management of a small tightly integrated team of 2-3 people
• Hands on Unix and Windows administration experience
• Demonstrable Technical Background.
  
  

Required Team Skills

• SQL database maintenance and configuration
• Unix and Apache system administration
• Perl and Shell Scripting
• NT installation, configuration and administration
• Windows 98 configuration and support
• Configuration of Cisco routers
• LAN/WAN configuration and support.
  
  

Optional Skills

• CORBA system installation
• C/C++
• Linux and FreeBSD
