SENIOR C++ DEVELOPER
3 Experienced C++ Developers required for the core development team.

Personal Profile
You’ve been in the game long enough to know the difference between good C++ and great C++ code. Templates and Exception handling hold no fear for you. Threading complexities fall around your feet. You enjoy and benefit from the recognition of your peers and can give that recognition in return. The W3C Org site is on your browser favourites list.
You understand the need for good up-front design before writing a single line of code, and you know when breaking that rule is applicable and when it is not.
You have a strong background in the Unix world, but without disclaiming the merits of other operating systems. You want to use your C++ knowledge while at the same time extending your abilities in the areas of Object and Class Design.

Description
The role will place you at the heart of system development, where you will inter-operate with a highly skilled team of individuals. The product is on the bleeding edge of WAP technology and requires the team to take requirements, produce a robust design and code the solution.

Responsibilities

• Design and Coding for the next generation of WAP products.
  
  

Required Skills

• Demonstrable design experience (2 years)
• C++ development (3+ years)
• Template development in C++ (2 years)
• Structured Exception Handling in C++ (2 years)
• Unix (preferably Solaris) (2+ years).
  
  

Optional Skills

• Perl
• SQL
• XML and XSL
• CORBA
• Socket Programming.
  
  

Salary and Benefits

• Package of around £40-50K depending on experience
